Black Screens Again!

WindowBlinds 10.8

Guys, I have 3 black screens again every time I load a windowblind.

Triple monitor system, DeskScapes 10 installed but not running, wallpaper set via windows personalization.

WindowBlinds was installed via My Downloads.

Nothing else has changed since the last thread where this was fixed, other than a windows update.

DisplayFusion still uninstalled.

RND,

What is the status of Fences - it it installed?  If so, does the 'Translucent Fences Background' (checked) in Fences have any effect?

Are you able to set the background after any black screen is seen?

That setting was checked in Fences. I unchecked it and rebooted. Upon reboot, I loaded several different windowblinds and still have black screens.

I am running the Nexus Dock, which has a button to restore wallpaper. If I click it, or reset wall in windows personalization, my wall returns.

Well, what do you know. Today's Windows update seems to have fixed the issue.  Go figger.

Ok, DeskScapes installed in an effort to become a dreamer, and lo and behold, black wallpapers again, EVERY time I load a WB.

Come on guys, let's fix this.

Would really like to help, RND, but - if I recall - we threw the kitchen sink at this issue but could not resolve it.  To my knowledge, you are the only one left with the issue you are detailing with WB.

Anything you could provide - what additional tests you have done - would be helpful:

Sean, I have done the purges on both WB and DeskScapes.   More than once.

The only thing that solves the issue is to uninstall DeskScapes. Deactivated isn't good enough.

It only happens on this PC, all skins.

I have not tried single monitor, but I shall.   Stay tuned.

Ok, but does not on another you have with DS installed / running?

Also, the clean boots, as PITA as they can be to perform, are helpful to eliminate Windows account issues, settings, and 3rd party apps.

Just went single monitor. Issue resolved.  but that isn't gonna work.

No. But this is the only triple monitor system using DeskScapes.  And DS doesn't have to be running for the issue to occur. For clarity.

Can I take a guess? I'm going to say Graphics card or drivers. Did you try an older driver?

My problem is way beyond that. I think my computer just can't run DS. When I open the config screen that's it I can't click on anything. The config box goes white an says not responding and I have to close it out with task manager.

Sorry about that this, is not about me.

Only happens when applying a WB. DeskScapes not even running.  I doubt it being a driver issue. Graphics card is fine, 8 GB ram in card.

If we can't resolve this, I'll just make my dreams on a single monitor rig.  Pain in the ass though.

YAY! More Dreams I can't use.;P

By the way, Sean, this black screen thing does not happen if I DO have a dream running.
