Issue showing wrong folder names in Start menu and not working

At 1 client we get the issue that the Start10 menu shows 3x “Bureaublad” in English it is “Desktop”

It’s a default installation of Start10. We use redirectedfolders of Microsoft. t oredirect Desktop/Documents/Pictures etc.

 

When we click on the “Bureaublad” tekst it’s giving error like in 2nd picture.

 

In normal Explorer I can reach Pictures/Movies/Documents without error and can also add new files into it.

 

How can I fix this?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try the purge and reinstall steps : https://forums.stardock.com/486022/start10-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the latest version again from your account. Reboot after the purge. Install it and reboot again. Retest and report back here.

Tried it, issue persists. Any more ideas?

I don't believe it's a software issue, since other accounts does not have issue, only NEW accounts I create and login to. There is a registry or configuration not correct.

Please try the following:

-For Win8/10 Users: Open the Start Screen, and type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator' from below.

-Type: sfc /scannow

-Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes)

If the SFC finds errors, but cannot fix them, please also run the following command in the same command prompt window:

dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

The above command should assist with replacing any damaged or problematic system files. Please note, however, since it may require restoring certain files, this process can take some time and you will need to be patient until it has completed.
