Stardock Releases Start10 Version 1.7 cannot update version or install it...and now it wont work

I updated my Start10 version 1.7  and now I receive an error message and the Start10 wont install or show 

it errors out and gives me a Uknown compression error..

No my Start10 wont even work......help?

Hello,

Have you tried the purge and reinstall steps : https://forums.stardock.com/486022/start10-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the latest version again from your account. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall using the one you just download. Reboot and retest. Report back here.
