Settings link issue (paramètres in french)

Hi,

I bought start10 one year ago, it works great, but i've got a minor issue with the Settings links in the right column (parametres on my screenshot. This link seems to be mapped with the Settings shortcut in "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs", which mean that we can't delete this shortcut without breaking the Settings link in start10. As a result, the Settings link appears at the root of the "all programs" list, which doesn't really make sense.

Would be great if in a future update it would be possible to delete this settings link at the root of the "all programs" list without breaking the settings link in the right column.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not really sure I understand the problem. Do you mean that when you click on Setting (I assume it "Parametres" on your system) on that right side it do not open Windows 10 Setting instead it open up something else?

What happen when you type LeftWin + X on the keyboard and choose "Settings" from that menu?

Hi,

 

The Settings link (paramètres on my system) on the right part of my screenshot work, but it stop working if i delete the settings shortcut on the left part of my screenshot (with the white gear/blue bg icon). As it make no sense to have a settings link in the all programs list, i would like to delete it, and because of this issue i can't.

 

Is it clearer with this new explanation?

I don't think you can delete that one. Since it come with Windows 10.

What you can do, if you wish not to see those, is by not turn on the option on "Default to the all programs list on menu open" and than you can just pin to Start10 which ever thing you want to appear there.

Yes, this option is already unactivated on my setup, i'm aware that my issue is impossible to "fix" with the current start10 code, first I opened a support ticket, and then they replied "please post on the forums" : ). Well, it doesn't matter much. Have a good day
