WindowBlinds 4.0

I have a question. From your guys experience, is WindowBlinds 4 actually faster than the regular Windows XP skinning engine? And does it have any major compatibility issues with any programs? Thanks for the help, I am just trying to decide whether or not to buy WB4.

I was just curious if PowerArchiver 2002 and MS PowerPoint are now skinned. When I was using 3.5 trial version, those two programs couldn't be skinned and I use them quite a bit. The command prompt skinning I've read about also looks awesome. Also, one of my friends seems to think that WindowBlinds uses tons of extra CPU, but obviously not, time to go hit him over the head. Thanks alot for the help! I will probably get WB4 soon, I think I can bear to see that new nVidia skin not on my desktop for much longer .

PowerPoint is quite happy with WB4, as are all the other MS programs (that I use anyway), I find it worth excluding Photoshop and several other Adobe programs myself, as WB is as fast as the XP engine but both drop some speed overall.
If speed is a factor then the old Winders "Classic" menu is the way to go.

Yea I think I have enough speed though, a 1.67 ghz should do just fine I would think

Not that I do it often, but when I unload WindowBlinds, I don't notice any speed improvement, on my 1.5 ghz machine.   As for compatibility issues, (in my experience) that's pretty much confined to programs that skin themselves ...... don't use PowerArchiver, so I don't know about that one.
