Is it possible to limit desktop space for applications next to fences

Hello fellow users.

Just a question/reguest.

I would like to know if it is possible to create a space on Desktop in which fences are placed, either right or left and leave the rest of the desktop space 'free' for any application to use.

In other words, block the 'column' in which fences are.

I once used a program called 'MaxMax' which did this in Windows 8.

I am lokking forward to reactions
