Unable to activate Fences 3 Trial

Error code: -205

Hi

 

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional (x64) Build 17134.523 (1803/RS4)

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz -- 32GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 -- 2GB

 

Fences 3.09

Email used to activate - "same as site registration email"

Firewall - Opened Inbound and outbound for Fences.exe, sddisplay.exe. All protocols, ports, profiles

Installed as administrator. Uninstalled. Re-installed.

Rebooted multiple times.

Searched through forums but was not able to find the same error report for this version.

 

Unable to activate Fences. Please try again or contact support.

Error code: -205 

 

Contacted support and was referred to the forums.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I don't think you can activate the trial version. What you need to do is uninstall the trial version, get the paid version installer from your account. https://www.stardock.com/support/productkeyretrieval.

Install and activate that version.

Hi,

Thank you Basj for the reply. I do not have an account hence the the trial version.

The email address I used was the one I registered on the website as I thought that I might need to be registered in order to recognize the email address.

I however think I must let this go. I have spent 2 hours on what might have been a good solution for me, but not being able to get passed the first dialog is not a good sign. If a simple activation cannot work, I will more than likely run into further problems.
