WBAmp problem solving

There a few problems you may encounter when using WBAmp.

1) WBAmp does not work with WA3
Later this year a version of WA3 might be available that adds support for WA2. That will automatically fix the issue.

2) WBAmp shows a black rectangle in the clip title display
Download the latest version of WB4 to fix this.

3) WBAmp does not work at all
There are 2 causes for this
a) None of the compatible players (OM, WB or CP) are present. Fix: Install one of the 3.
b) Only OM has been installed. Fix: Copy the latest WBAmp.dll to the skin folder.

4) WBAmp does not show the clip title
If all has been correctly installed then we have no idea. Some people have reported this issue.

If you want to use ObjectMedia then make sure the skin is using the latest version of WBAmp. You can find it in the ObjectMedia folder. Copy the plugin to the skin folder.

Note: A skin that does not support WBAmp will not control any player. Copying WBAmp to its skin folder just occupies space and doesn't do anything.

Thanks for the info MadIce. I'd just like to add that Winamp3 users should try the Winamp2.x plugin manager: http://www.winamp.com/components3/detail.jhtml?componentId=118230 It doesn't allow the controls to run WA3 if it isn't already running, but it does allow them to control WA3 if it is already running.

Judge: You will need to use Stardock Central. I believe that new updates will only be available from there as Stardock are trying to move people over to it now that it has been released.
