Product Key

So I got Fences on the Humble Bundle deal this month, and I wanted to install both Fences and GRoupy on my work computer. Groupy worked fine since it used the normal product key. Fences though went through Steam activation. I can't install steam on my work computer, and I tried the product key retrieval and that only brings back my groupy key. Any help would be appreciated.

Same issue for me. I cannot install Steam on my Work Laptop so just require a way to run Fences without steam.

Likewise. I didn't quite realise at the time, and Fences on my work PC was the thing I really wanted (and the main reason for buying the bundle) as an ex colleague used to swear by it. Still I'm happy with Groupy as that's proving useful already.

I totally understand the answer might be "you should have read the Ts&Cs before you paid", but I'm wondering whether as a middle road a discount upgrade to a non-steam licence could be a win-win solution for everyone? I'd be happy with a single system key, as I only have one work machine I need this on and can always use the steam version at home if I do fall in love with Fences.

I have the same problem. The keys provided in the humble should be served without installing Steam and linking them to our Stardock account. I hope you give us a solution.

I honestly don't think it would be THAT hard to just let us link our freaking steam account with our Stardock account u ALREADY have steam SSO, and then let us activate the non-steam version with our Stardock account , it ensures that no more than 5 are active at any one time requires ZERO issuing of new keys nor any expense of upgrading anyone to a non-steam license there is LITERALLY no reason for it to NOT work this way, I honestly DON'T want to have steam open  on 3 +  computers in my office because you guys can't get your act together its a no-brainer, that requiring steam to be logged in or installed when most of these products will be used in work environments MAKES ZERO SENSE, and this is irrelevant of T&C's,

if the steam version just required me to log in with my steam account or a single install of steam and then I can UNINSTALL steam (WHICH FYI is how I assumed it would work BUT IT DOESNT at least for me), I'm not in the habit of assuming that just because the software is on steam that its implementation would be done poorly and that's all the T&C says -> steam key, not steam is required to always be installed and & logged in and FYI there are programs that work JUST FINE after steam is uninstalled or in some cases not even installed at all - cause they GOD DAM LET U LINK your shit cause we are in 2018, not 1995
