Start10 will not install on a brand new windows 10 PC

Start10 will not install on a brand new Windows 10 PC. I have previously successfully installed it on several other Windows 10 PC's

I receive this error message.

"This app can't be run on your PC

To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher"

 Any ideas?

Hello,

I know you said its a new computer but sometimes new does not always perfect.

Just to make sure, Please try the following:

I) Open the Start Screen, and type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator' from below.

-Type: sfc /scannow

-Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes)

Some help on how this looks should you need it:

If the SFC finds errors, but cannot fix them, please also run the following command in the same command prompt window:

dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Some help on how this looks should you need it:

The above command should assist with replacing any damaged or problematic system files. Please note, however, since it may require restoring certain files, this process can take some time and you will need to be patient until it has completed.

II) Faulty or corrupted registry keys may also prevent apps from running on your PC.  If ‘This app can’t run on your PC’ keeps popping up, the simplest way to scan and repair your registry tool such as WiseCare/CCleaner/BleachBit etc etc. Don’t forget to first backup your registry in case anything goes wrong.

Please let me know whether this resolves your problem or if you have any additional questions.

Thank you,

SFC found no issues.

CCleaner found few registry issues to do with .net, have fixed them.

Start10 still comes up with the same error when I try and install it.

Did you reboot after the error correction done?

And also, please try to re-download your Start10 installer from your account. And use that one instead.

Thank you,

Fixed it.

I downloaded the Start10 installer again, this time using the free version and it installed. Must have been corruption in the original download.
