Outlook mail will not open

When I copy or move an Outlook email into a folder portal, it will open and work as it should.

After an undetermined amount of time or days when I try to open it again it will give me the error "Microsoft Outlook cannot read the item"

I have lost numerous emails because of this.

I have tested it with email I do not need to keep and can not figure out what is happening

Any help with this?

I cannot imagine what the connection to Fence would be.  I would try opening from the actual location instead of from the portal.  Perhaps manually saving to that location and seeing if it still happens.

If I manually save to that location it always works. It only does this when copying or moving the email to the location using the portal

Do you have any other suggestions? Would like to be able to keep using Fences

We don't see what role Fences would play other than a folder portal, to a network location (should that be where you are saving), becoming unavailable.   If the portal is indeed a network location, there is a work-around for people that have disconnect issues from time to time:
