disappearing fences

When cleaning the keyboard I have probable pressen a combination of keys so that a fence disappeard from the desktop. When creating a new fence with a eg reference to documents het gets the name documents 2. I removed and reinstall fences without any succes. Please help me out Thx. Wilhelm Frederik

Did to try restoring with Snapshot ?
