Start 10 incompatible message
Windows 10 no longer likes Start 10
Hi there
Yesterday I installed a software update to an application. Once finished, I was prompted to restart my PC. Upon restarting, Windows issued a message that Start 10 wasn't "compatible" and would likely cause problems. Windows was suggesting I uninstall Start 10. I've been using it for a couple of years now without issue, so I figured it was a bit of a bogus message and dismissed it and ignored it.
I'm not sure if this is related, but I'm a Pinterest user. And yesterday, I noticed I was unable to pin anything successfully. I generally use Google Chrome as my browser, but this PC isn't my first rodeo so I new to try other browsers. Saw the same behavior in IE, and in Firefox.
So today I'm attempting to determine what has clobbered Pinterest. I uninstalled the application that seemed to precipitate this fiasco and tried again. No dice. And this morning I was doing some activity in Google Chrome and it spontaneously performed a disappearing act and immediately issued a message that advised Start 10 wasn't compatible and was causing issues.
I futzed with Start 10, looking to see if perhaps there was an update, but it tells me I'm all up to date. I tried killing the services for Start 10 just to see if that would make things change, but I'm not sure if anything is different.
My Windows 10 is version 1803 Build 17134.285
AMD A10-8700P processor and 12GB RAM
Ideas anyone?
