Fences causes delay in clicking items in a fence

BUG

Dear Stardock support,

I have windows 10 pro latest edition, fully updated. I have been a satisfied user of fences. Lately I noticed that every item I click is it being Chrome or other program or just a image file he doesn't register my click immidiately. So I click on chrome for example.  Then a minimum of 3 seconds later you see that he starts..

If I remove fences the issue is gone. I tried all kind of combinations. Disabling my Antivirus, disabling all other things activated on start windows. Always same problem. Only resolution is disabling and removing Fences. Very annoying. So for now I removed it but since i'm a paying customer I would like to see this resolved. Please advise me on how we can work together to get this issue fixed?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Would appreciate if you can share your pc set up. Such as single, dual or more monitors. Monitor/Monitors resolution, display setting specially display scale 100%,125%,150%,200% etc etc. Hardware installed specially graphics cards and any other relevant information.

Thank you.

I have the same issue. If I click firefox-icon it lasts 3-5 seconds before something happens. I tried to refresh firefox, disabled my anti-virus software, but only to disable fences helped.

My PCs configuartion: Windows 10 pro latest version with all updates, AMD 8core cpu, one monitor resolution 1920*1080, display scale 100% graphics card AMD radeon 6450 with newest driver.

Resolution 3820 x1600 (LG ultrawide)

Display scale 100%

Windows 10 Pro

Intel HD Graphics 630 / Radeon RX Vega M GL Graphics

Everything updated to latest (Windows as other hardware drivers)

As mentioned.. only solution is disabling / uninstalling fences.

Few more questions and suggestion.

1. Is the problem appear right after boot-up or after few hours of typical use?

2. Could you list down other apps running in the background specially those that control you display such as wallpaper managers etc etc if any

Try the purge and reinstall steps : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

reinstall with the latest version you get from your account. and reboot.

Report back.

Thank you,

On my computer it appears right after boot-up. Running in Background apps are Bitdefender Total Security, Lexware Info Service, AusweisApp 2, Ultracopier. Now I'll try to reinstall Fences.

You need to run the purge part even you have already uninstall Fences. Just to make sure everything with regard to fences are cleansed out.
