OK, now it's working...

Erm... can't reply to the previous thread b/c I'm a new account?! Come on, that just needlessly creates more threads.

Especially when I came in to say IT'S WORKING, OMG! :) :)

I figured f' it, why not try installing again. And clicking on the 2 font checkboxes (top to make sure, but the main one being no system-wide fonts) has been working so far, even with the theme I prefer, the theme I totally did this with the last time I installed windowblinds, very early this morning.

Still gonna try to push it a bit more. It's used about 4 themes so far successfully. (as in rebooting doesn't f' up royally)

:) re: the last post in the previous thread.  Yeah... lol, I figured I'd choose the least headaches option but with Microsoft, it's all a clusterf*.

So is there a way to disable windowblinds upon boot if I bypass the login screen? I really have no interest in logging in, especially now when I'm rebooting like every minute to test stuff. I haven't had to try to reboot into safe mode yet to purge, as it's working, but I'm planning on trying to click on the desktop and hit alt-F4 then rebooting... when/if my display shuts off.. so I mean that doesn't inspire confidence. Trepidation here. :)

Thanks for the help!

You can apply the "Default theme" (1st theme) in WindowBlinds, then it will stop loading at boot but you'll be using the standard Windows theme.  Otherwise, none that I'm aware of.  Since you're very much wanting to use WindowBlinds though, I'd be inclined to let it load at least for awhile until I felt like whatever issue was resolved.

By the way, you mentioned ClassicShell in your other thread.  There does appear to be a conflict between ClassicShell and WindowBlinds.  I don't believe anything as severe as what you were experiencing, usually taskbar issues I think, but you don't want to have both installed at the same time in case it crosses your mind again.
