Start menu not matching the taskbar colour?

I'm using v1.6 but this has always been an issue for me, no matter what computer i'm on or verision.

In the windows settings, I have set the transparancy and colour but the colour and transparancy is always wrong for the background of the start menu?

The original menu is a lot darker.
