[Bug] Intrigue Eyes of the Universe improvement does not reveal all AI home worlds

Started a new game on Intrigue, built the Eyes of the Universe improvement on my home world, and only the Yor and Terran home worlds were revealed on the map.  Drengi, Altaria, etc are still hidden.

One turn later Drengi showed up, still no Altaria, etc.

According to the description for Eyes of the Universe, it does not reveal all homeworlds.  Instead, it reveals the homeworlds of all hyperdrive-capable civilizations.  This may indicate that a tech needs to be researched before they are considered to be hyperdrive-capable.  The problem with this is that everyone starts with the Engineering tech, which allows the hyperdrive, so all races should be hyper-drive capable at the start of the game.

Maybe the game expects a different tech to be researched before they are revealed, or maybe a ship with a hyperdrive needs to be built before they are revealed, or maybe it is something else, or maybe it really is a bug like you think.  That's a lot of maybes.

It has bothered me, but whenever I manage to build it, all the races are eventually revealed.  Maybe one of the devs will explain how it actually works.

End of Old-Spider's quote

I don't expect it to reveal minor races.  But it ought to reveal all majors, since the lore says that the Terrans shared the secret of the hyperdrive with all of them.

Anyway, I agree with you that it would be nice if a developer would explain this.

If you would upload a savegame with this I could pass it along to the devs.

I made a save one turn after completing the Eyes of the Universe, when I could only see Iconia and Earth.  After quitting the game and then reloading that save, I see all the home planets.  So the bug does not persist across save/reload.  Very unfortunate for debugging it.  In case you still want it, the save is here.

Thanks, anyway. Hopefully we can find out what is causing this.
