Give up that winstep, Mindy.....please....

Very nice WinStep Mindy, please release it on the site. :)

I'm almost finished with it. The old Winstep theme builder is really awful to work with. It crashes on me all the time, and lose everything even though I've saved it. Hope I can get this finished soon.

I just skin it via the ini files. Theme builder sucks.

Sorry Mindy. :(

Are you using it on Windows 10?

You mean the old 9.5 version of Winstep Xtreme, the last version with skinning settings in the GUI which was released back in 2009 and predates Windows 10 by almost a century? Yeah, running that on Windows 10 is probably not a very good idea. :)

When I started coding the new Theme Builder I asked for feedback on it and I got barely anything in return. Considering I *hated* working on it, the lack of ideas and feedback - positive or otherwise - REALLY deflated my balloon.

Despite it already being perfectly usable to make native Nexus dock skins, with features unique to Nexus such as overlays, etc, as far as I know nobody is taking advantage of it.

Sorry guys, but the Theme Builder is the kind of thing I need either lots of encouragement or a swift kick in the butt to finally finish the #%$#"#$ thing.

I'll kick you, if that'll help.

I only use WorkShelf, so I was waiting on that part of the theme builder.

I didn't mean to be so blunt, but yes, the ancient theme builder isn't much help these days.

Jorge, I would do what I can to help you with feedback and such. I just don't use Nexus, so I didn't join in on skinning it. But, of course, if I skin WinStep, as I like doing, I'd need to skin all of it.  I have a lot of trouble with the NextStart menu.

How about a little WC love.

Here's a kick from me too.  I would enjoy a functioning theme builder also.  I've renewed every year since buying Nexus.

I just saw all of this about Winstep. I also only use Workshelf for myself, but have to skin all of it for a theme I would upload. My hardest part is the startbar and all of those elements contained in it. I feel really dumb, but I had no idea I could work with the files in the theme as ini files. I never even tried opening them. I have just taken a look and think I can figure out how to use them and it would be so much easier! I think I can do the calendar module as well now. It will probably will take me a few more days to finish the UniGlo theme, but if this works for me; I will be so happy to make some more Winstep themes!! Thanks to all.
