General Offworld Trading Company Troubleshooting
Below is a short list of things to try if you are having technical issues with installing or running Offworld Trading Company. Another resource for seeing if your issue is being addressed can be found in the OTC forum: https://forums.offworldgame.com/
If your issue has been mentioned, but not addressed in the forums, please continue with the steps below.

-Update Video Drivers

Please note that you may have more than one video card so be sure to update both if that is the case.
-Verify Integrity of Game Cache

-Launch the d3d9 version (PC)
Locate the game in your Steam library, right click it, select Properties, Set launch options, add this line: -force-d3d9
-Re-install Redistributables (PC)
Download the redist file from the link below and install \ repair:

-Re-install DirectX (PC)
In the following location:
\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010
Run: DXSetup.exe
Reboot and try to run the game again.
-Disable Steam Overlay
Click on Steam and click on the "Settings" button. Click on the "In-Game Settings" tab.
Uncheck the box next to "Enable Steam Community In-Game" and click OK.
Disable the Steam Overlay on specific games only by right-clicking on the game title, click on "Properties" and uncheck "Enable Steam Community In-Game" in the "General" tab.
Video Issues (could also contribute to crashes):

Windows: Hold Shift while you launch the game to bring up Unity's graphic options

Getting the Almanac DLC
You can find the DLC for this in these locations:
On a PC
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Offworld Trading Company\Offworld Trading Company Almanac.pdf
On a Mac
~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Offworld Trading Company/Offworld Trading Company Almanac.pdf
Purging game installation
Please uninstall OTC from Steam/Galaxy by following the instructions below.
STEAM: Right click OTC in your Steam library and select "Uninstall...":

You will be prompted to delete the game:

After OTC has been uninstalled, please press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. In the window that appears, paste the path below and hit enter:
%userprofile%\Documents\My Games
In the "My Games" folder, if there is still a folder remaining called "OffWorld" please rename it so a new one will be generated.
Lastly, please navigate to the path below and delete the entire folder for Offworld:
STEAM: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Offworld Trading Company
Note: The path above assumes you've installed OTC to the default Steam/Galaxy directory. You may need to adjust the path accordingly if it is installed to a non-standard location.
Restart your computer and reinstall OTC using Steam/Galaxy. After it has completed the installation, please create a new save and let us know if you experience any further issues.
