Unable to search settings

On my PC, I'm able to type 'Windows Update' and go straight to that setting. On my Surface Laptop, it seems I cannot search any of the settings directly. I've reindexed, I've done a clean install of Start10, but I can't seem to get this corrected. Any help would be appreciated. I am running the latest Creator's update.

Thanks!

This is a known issue on Windows 10. Cortana and the search function in Windows 10 can break at times. A quick google search will give you some troubleshooting advice for resolving it. Once the issue is resolved within Windows, Start10 will display correctly as well.

Thank you. Yes, I have done a LOT of troubleshooting, including grabbing the files from another machine and placing them in the appropriate indexing folders. It is just bothering me that none of my other machines have this issue. In the meantime, I've reverted to Cortana search. While it is slower, it is working right now.

Yea, its a very annoying issue to deal with. When I first upgraded my computer to Windows 10 I had the same problem with searches not returning anything. I eventually had to reinstall Windows 10 due to a number of issues (Search not working, Couldn't update, etc). Since reinstalling it has worked perfect. Of course I'll say that and everything will break in a couple of days. Hopefully you don't have to resort to a full Windows reinstall...
