ok,,well cities can be easily destroyed with current day technology,,soo,,yeah,,can you make it possible to destroy cities,,and also make them upgradable to the megalopolis. Are you guys testing these changes you are making?,,or just winging it?
In base game, I have trouble removing not only cities, but also Space Elevators, Planetary Computer Core, Durantium Refinery, Thalium Data Archive, and Promethean Reserve.
I haven't tried to destroy any of those yet, I usually place them carefully. I had in the past before 2.6 with no problem,,I think I'll go check to see if those are indestructible too, thanks!
Ok I found the solution. Its in the ImprovementDefs xml file,,and there a a TON of indestructible buildings,,I just went through all of the buildings and deleted the line of code"<IsIndestructible>true</IsIndestructible>" for each and every one of them. I modified the megalopolis (<UpgradesFrom>City</UpgradesFrom>) and siliconcity (<UpgradesFrom>Megalopolis</UpgradesFrom>)so that should do it. Probably a good idea to keep the colony capital indestructible btw.
I enjoy your profile icon Allerick, and your can do attitude. On this question I've gotta say, devs, what were you thinking? lordy-oh, what could it be? was there ever a ai created colony you took that DIDN'T have durantium- or promethion factory erected in that singleton tile off at the poles somewhere??
Oh! and what about your class 7 with 3 cities built in? Beautiful. Thanks a lot Thalians, thanks a lot *reaches for the planet-kill button*
As I've just found out recently, don't remove the IsNonDestructible=True lines from the Colony Capital and Civ Capital improvements else you'll end up with civs destroying there own capitals and have 0 food and moral and a bunch of colonies the same way.
You rock.
Now, be careful though there are multiple ImprovementDefs in there.
If you have Crusade installed, look for the one in the Crusade DLC folder.
