Sorry to post this on the holiday, but he deserves the notice...George Michael (according to his agent) has passed away at home at age 53.

His real name was Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou. He gained fame in the group Wham! (with Andrew Ridgeley).

Everyone has their favorite...won't bore you with mine as I'm sure yours is equally great.

 

George Michael, Rest In Peace...you left far too soon.

His music wasn't generally my cup of tea, but he did pen and perform some tunes that I did like, so yeah, I am saddened by his loss to the music world.  Besides, he was way too young and gone way too soon.
