Well I think it's time to update everyone on what's going on over here in the graphics Divison. We have been cranking out new technolgize like mad, in the past few weeks and they are really looking nice. I have personaly been over seeing the Galatic trade screen and it is really starting to come to life and it is looking awesome! Part of the Art team is also working on a teaser that should be out pretty soon. Anyway I will try updating you guys on what's going on as mush as I can.

I don't know if our president would get his news about world events from CNN, I think he would most likely turn to the CIA for that. ;p

Since you are the emperor of a entire civilization I think they would have better sources then Billy bobs "news reporter".. Just a thought.

AlexG, are you sure that a president has always the correct infos all pointing in one direction? LOL
BTW, having the infos via GNN is just a simplified view of the reality. If you wish you can make NSA (or WSA ;) ) film briefings... but the nice thing is to have infos not 100% accurate and possibly giving different hints and solutions.
You can act on the spot in one direction or, with a button, search more...

Good interview, but then, Brad has always given a good interview. IMO it would have
been a good idea to give more content about the story line of the game and some more
detail (more indepth) of the differing paths to winning the game to stir more interest.

Status Report - Feb 15 2002

Well looks like everything is on schedule, we have been hard at work on the many end game cut scenes. This will continue for the next few month, as we start getting some finished art, I will try to post some images just in this form (for the people that really care) you guys. ;)

We will also be fishing the planetlist screen with a much needed graphical update that should be in the beta. Overall everything is going well I am really starting to get excited again.

It's time to update you diehards on what's going in the trenches. Well to start off, everyone is working really hard putting in like 12 hour days, I have never seen such dedication to a project before. So it's safe to say I am very happy with the progression of our project, epically in the last 2-3 weeks. Good Work guys!

Here are some things that have been completed:

- New Sensor buoy
- New Survey Ship
- End game animatic
- New Anomalies
- Updated GUI
- New Planet List graphics
- Terran Solider Model

Hey, that sensor bouy looks great.

The new Planet List graphics seems to have a problem. The 16, 17, 20, etc. planet class to the top left of each
planet only displays the first numeral (1, 1, 2). Also, the red and green bars are gone. Those bars were very
nice and I miss them.
