Why do ppl like BoXXi and china have their own special icons?

Then why does it ask (When you upload something) if you want to send in your 'Author logo'?

apparently it was used for something else a while ago but it don't get used now for anything, not linked in any way as far as i know but not positive on that

back in the gui olympics it was used to upload ur logo.. i think..., and the reason the have there special icons is cause there admins , and all i know is that my typing is jafos worst nightmare

The "upload your logo" thing was used on the old Stardock Windowblinds library. Has never been used at Wincustomize.

Custom smiley icons were decided to not be a good idea as they would junk up the site. We like it clean and simple...

People with personal icons are either admins here or are respected elders of the skinning community.

Event: the icon thing actually started with Doreen. Alexandrie made her her own kissy icon, just caus eit was funny. Doreen, being such a lovable girl, just keeps kissing everybody. So it was more a joke than anything. Then Annie (China) also got her volupcious icon, also for joke more than anything, because.. well we all knew she had beautiful fonts. Then Jafo got his spellchecker icon, also just for fun. At that point, after a bit, all the admins who wanted one got to have their little icon. Nothing to be jaleous about. It was first meant as a joke, not a reward.
I have mine, but I rarely use it.

This thread would fill up real quick if I told people that we have our own code that we type to make our icons appear. But none of you are going to try and guess our codes......are you?
