Future Ideas for Gal Civ IV (A Tutorial for the Game Designers: How to Design the Game So It is Not a Nightmare to balance).

Personally I'd like several upgrades to MP to make things better as a whole for MP.

  • Turn Timer (this can be set at the beginning of game 1, 2, 5, 10 minute ranges).
  • Stability
  • See in progress games and where they are in the game to see if you can request to join.
  • No combat viewer (this can slow down the game).
  • Ship designer only when it's not your active turn.
  • Planet changes only when it's not your active turn.
  • Mega events (or something else to provide ideology in a multiplayer game).

They should enable the Ideology Projects that came with the game for MP. (They are commented out atm)

I can avoid triggering the Battle Viewer.  I figured that out.  It's that little so-called "quick" battle animation that occurs whether I want it to or not that bothers me.  I don't care for it when it is my battles during SP, let alone when it is the other players during MP.  I bought this shiny rig so I wouldn't have to wait for the AI in games.  It seems unnecessary to add delays to already notoriously slow human players.  ;)
