Windowblinds 5 Sensation!

Despite Windowblinds 4 being released this week, it was announced today Windowblinds 5 development is well under way. Unlike its predecessors Windowblinds 5 will use a new skinning technology called 'virtual skinning' to complete the Windows skinning experience.

Tired of that bland coloured monitor frame? Well Windowblinds 5 will use its vitual skinning technology to expand the skin outwards to cover the monitor frame. The skins will also employ smart buttons for those of you with monitor controls.

With the latest version of SkinStudio now available some of the top skinners are already working on WB5 skins.

It's not known yet if virtual skinning will extend to peripherals. A Stardock spokesman was unable to comment further.

It has been discovered that keeping your hand on the mouse too long can cause the skin on your hand to alter according to the WindowBlinds 5 skin being used

Wow! This is amazing.
I'm looking forward to future versions of Windowblinds (maybe Windowblinds 6?), where I'll be able to repaint my house with Windowblinds skins.

WB8 will be the most featre rich one of all. Not only will it allow you to skin your monitor case, house, wife, dog and children. It will allow you to assign new functions for skinned components. For instance, us women will be able to make that aging half corpse sitting on the couch guzzling beer not only look great, but make him take out the garbage, walk the dog, wash the windows and (the best part of all) pick up his own clothes and put them in the hamper after he takes them off at night.

Of course, other improvements could be made as well. However, as this is a family site, it would be innapropriate to mention them here.

And WB9 will have all the features that Sylva_cg76 mentioned but will also be able to skin your car, boat, golf cart and plane if you have those

ROTF!

This is great!

And WB X? Well, think of a feature that will actually create people and skin them as well as put them under your control...

Yeah well maybe WindowBlinds 8 will do all those things, but I'm still having a problem with WindowBlinds 5. I can get it to skin my monitor, but for some reason the webcam sat on top of it refuses to be skinned! Anyone at Stardock know when the webcam plug-in will be released?
(incidentally, the microphone skinned o.k. so I don't know why the webcam should give problems)
And I love the "finger-over" feature for the buttons on my monitor!

hey, can I use it to skin my girlfriend... do they have a christina aguilera skin (but get rid of her annoying personality).... and can I put smart buttons on her

hrm, i dunno about peripherals. I have had some of those neoprene-gel wrist rests for teh keyboard and the mousepad, and they felt way too much like a coed in a wetsuit... I think anything more realistically skinned would be a distraction. Besides, if a 'peripheral' was larger than a handful, it would be a waste, right?

( On a side note, somehow the supposedly ergonomic headrests i had were actually cutting off circulation when I rested my wrists on them. No one realized, i guess, that there are some major blood vessels running through your wrist... reaaaaaaally well though out, those things. )

pffft.

headrests = handrests. stinky spell checker.

Hmmm....blood being cut off by a headrest....that explains it...
