Outlook vs. Outlook Express

Outlook vs. Outlook Express

I have been using Outlook Express for years now. I recently installed Office XP on my computer, which comes with Outlook. Can those of you that have tried both give me some feedback on your experience? I am considering installing Outlook but am a little cautious to do so since OE has performed flawlessly for me. Thanks for the help.

I'm going to start fiddling with it. If the world turns up side down and starts vibrating violently you'll know I've screwed something up again!

Did I mention that most common problems ppl have with Outlook is because they don't know how to use Microsoft's Office.

Office has it's fingers into almost every part of windows so if something is not working in Outlook it may be because of a setting that is way over there in another part of windows.

Outlook is a great program and if set up right )not just in the tools( it can do almost anything with excemption, pick winning lotto numbers. I am still working on that one

I use Outlook and have used OE. I must say i prefer Outlook to OE...tho, OE is easier to use for those of you who are not into messing around with all the settings.

Just a quick thanks to SHMOOPY, I use OE (win 95) and have been trying to figure out the Previw screen, how to stop it. Followed Shmoop's advice and now feel mush safer about my "E" mail. I got crashed 2 weeks ago and had to reload all!

Well, as far as attachments go with outlook 2002/XP you might not be able to open or save them.
I do not have that problem because we have an Exchange server, but if you are only using a POP
account or Web Mail you might very well run into problems because of security settings in Outlook.

Good to know someone else from Gods country Jim. My sisters, etc. still live in the area. We visit whenever possible. Sorry for the big delay, much work going on. Carried an 8 but destroyed my shoulder, no golf or bowling anymore.
