Windowsblinds, not everything is skinned

I have Object Desktop and tried a few themes such as CopperDeck2. I noticed not everything is skinned. For example when I want to shut down, the option thing/window where you can select standby, shutdown or restart is not using the theme. I looked in the skin editor and it does look fine in there. Also in the configuration of Windows where you can select to change your theme or (un)install software, the background is still blue. What am I doing wrong?

I use Windows XP Home with the latest update.

It is possible that the skins may not have *everything* that is needed to skin everything. Does that make sense ?

I've seen a skin which has everything but that panel skinned and another which skins that panel, but not the shellstyle.

Jimmy, I think some of these issues you are referencing will be resolved with the up and coming release of Windowblinds 4... stay tuned.

Well I'm pretty sure I did change it on Windows 98 years ago. I forgot how though and it is probably different on XP anyway. I think all you needed to do was replace 1 file.

Jimmy, there is a proggie that changes it, but I can't remember the site Hang in there someone will come up with it. Changing that 1 file in XP is not for the faint of heart.

i've used it before but now favor just hacking new screen in because i don't change my screen very often at all. instructions here at bottom of pagehttp://www.themexp.org/howto.php be warned though. messing with your boot screen can lead to disaster. i learned my lesson but not after losing everything and having to reinstall windows, not once but twice!
