DesktopX Help

Ok
Instead of me posting questions here, is there a page where i can get complete help files and tutorials for desktopx? I can only post so many questions here and frankly i would like to have a help file so i can learn on my own. As usaul, thank you for your comment!

https://www.stardock.com/support/support_faq.asp?product=8 should give you a start

That help page was very interesting but didn't have the answer I need.

Is there an indepth tutorial anywhere?

One specific question is what does command executed do and when is it used. This is not described in that tutorial.

Objects can be "activated" i.e. typically they are clicked, at which point they act according to the type of object they are (navigate to URL etc etc). "Command executed" occurs when this has happened.

Yeah.. I agree with you. An in-depth tutorial would be helpful. The newsgroup doesn't seem to be very responsive sometimes.

What would be nice is a tutorial like there is for Windowblinds. One that can be downloaded in PDF file for handy reference.

As a novice it seems that DX is much simpler than WIndowblinds and making a help file would not be an overwhelming task for someone that knows all the functions.

Do I see a volunteer in the back of the room?

I did the last one. In theory I could do another one, but it does take a HUGE amount of time and effort.

I suggest that it would require a Stardock driven project. I have seen increasing requests for help in the past month or so, so this may be justified.

I'm willing to help with this, but I can't drive it.

No rudeness intended to you folks, but have any of you actually tried opening up the helpfile that comes with DX?
It's a full blown tutorial, which I believe was done by _Martin_ there ^^^

To be fair Hippy, though the concepts are typically similar, that tutorial is very out of date, so people need to be aware of that.

I am working on a DXScript code library which over time will be useful, though we need to wait until DX NG for the cool stuff like code wrappers.
