Start8 on Windows 10 has a number of known issues.
You should find your taskbar search field (unless disabled) overlaps running apps.
The modern ui apps may have wrong icons some of which may be invisible due to colour choices.
The colour matching of the menu to the OS theme is broken etc
Random named modern UI apps may show in recently used apps.
On the November update of Windows 10 (installs 30 days after you upgrade to Win10) the jumplists for apps are also broken and all Modern UI applications no longer appear in the menu at all due to OS changes.
You are free to use Start8 on Windows 10 but be aware there is no support and there are real problems which may be a problem for you. Start10 resolves these issues and adds in a number of new features such as the new Modern style menu, taskbar colouring options, tile mode etc. It is worth trying the 30 day trial.
