Broken AI Levels

I have noticed that AI improvement made it  totally imbalanced. I understand that Stardock want to provide an AI which is powerful at Normal and higher levels to provide experienced players more challenge.  What I cannot understand Is why AI has become so powerful and aggressive on beginner level.  I am a rather casual player who not seeks a challenge but simple fun in the game – I have enough challenge in the work. I don’t want to optimize every single move to avoid being dominated by AI within first 50 turns.  There is 6 or more AI levels, so why one of them cannot be made for the casual players like me?

I see your point, but the reason why is to many people complained that the ai was stupid in galciv 2 so they decided instead of having ai levels they were just going to use bonuses and penalties instead. Advanced algorithms would solve this. Others complain that is to easy.

One of the biggest complaints in the reviews, and often echoed on the various forums is the AI is too easy. Very hard to balance across all the ability levels for the poor guys trying to. Perhaps more AI levels would be the key, if more people felt like this with penalties to the AI beyond beginner, and bonuses above godlike?

BTW Too easy to me also means, we've played more hours or are more used to the way the game plays, so the average player is generally better at this type of game.
