btw, I seeded the bracket based on past tournament performance and then ranking on our 1v1 ladder.

Soren pairs us up, we plan & play our 1st round matches , stream and post in the results thread and Soren updates the leaderboard. when the time comes around for Round 2, the round 1 winners repeat the process.

Stream via twitch or anything in specific, sorry I just want to make sure I do things correct.  Cubit it appears I'm paired against you, when are you avail, I won't have much time the rest of the day, however, tomorrow evening after 7PM CST should be good.

When you want to play Soren?

Kingmorgan, I'm replying in the meetup thread. :)

Did you miss out lowercase from the list?  He signed up but is not on the list.

He can have my spot if he wants it.

We've had a training session with DeathTacticus and came up with an idea (well, he did): each player should have a right to ask to change the map once per match (sometime early probably, before sol 2 or something). That would help avoid those situations when a game is just lost on found for one side. I think it's a decent suggestion, shouldn't be too hard to rehost a game twice per match (at most)

That sounds really unfair for the winning player.

Well, the idea is that it happens early, within the first few hours preferably. It's not necessarily fair if a player loses the game if he was just a few seconds too late to click on the only usable spot on the map

Ugh, you're right, Kingmorgan, I totally missed lowercase. I'm sorry!

Having him replace you makes sense and thanks for offering. Alternatively, you and I could have a separate game to determine who gets my spot and then he gets your spot. Let me know if you'd like to do that. We should probably play on Wednesday if so.

I hate the idea of doing a do over. A huge part of 1v1 matches is chosing to take on the right amount of debt. Founding at the right time. If you make a good decision why should you not be rewarded for it?

Well damn, too late. I'm in if you manage to fill 32 slots.

Mewh the idea was that you can vote a map away every Round of Games but you must do so before the debt timer goes to 0. I just played with Yerand 6 games and 2 other games(maps) where we both agreed we would skip the map before the timer ran out because thoses maps were just terrible. Like only low iron/carb and not even a good patch for a scientific.

I'm obviously still around. Going to need at least an hour warning this time around if you want me to broadcast.

Soren knows the map codes. How about for the sake of fairness the maps we use are selected and constant for all?

If you really wanted to take the map out of the equation then you must use a mirror map.

ok, I locked the predictions, so feel free to start your games!

Just to clarify rules if i remember correctly from last 1v1: we're playing a small map and not a tiny map for the match with reveal map on correct?

Small maps are sometimes already terrible :/

Some real diversity in the predictions.

I shouldn't call people out since I had no confidence in myself for my own prediction, but I guess I really have something left to prove still :P

Do we have a deadline to get our first round matches in? TheSpinCycle was telling me the weekend would work much better for him.

I'd hope that we can get to the second-round by this weekend, but if people really need to stretch it, could you please find time to do it Friday night?
