I think the new mode is interesting and has potential, what I dont like about no-buyout mode, after having played a few games with blues, blackmagic, and wino, is the inability to effectively continue defending your stock once its all been purchased up and people start buying out your shares. in previous modes we've had the option to buyout all shares in your own company as a defensive measure, but in this new mode there is nothing similar, there is no way to regain stock that has been purchased away from you and buying other companies' stock doesnt help enough to stay alive unless you can turn them into a subsidiary and even then another player may be getting revenue from them as well. this can lead to some frustrating situations, for me at least. in one game we had players 1 and 2 get into a stock war with eachother then player 3 bought player 4 and then a couple minutes later, during which the only way for players 1 and 2 for to defend themselves was to continue their stock war trying to buy the other so they could get some of their own stock back, player 3 just bought the rest of players 1 and 2 for the win.
Stock has been getting more and more valuable as new versions have progressed and in this mode it might be the most valuable yet so it seems strange to me to take away the ability to buyout your own stock that was there in the previous versions. I can imagine in this new mode it might be hard to make a system that works without people buying stock back and forth but I think there should be ways to continue defending or buyout your own stock. No buyout is an interesting mode and I'll have to play some more to get more experience with it, since its a pretty big change to the mechaincs of the game and changes the meta. these are just my observations coming from the current version.
