Shutting Down

I am running the latest version of DesktopX and when I try to shutdown my machine it does not work because desktop x will not shut itself down. Windows tries to close but get left with a half shut machine and always have to shutdown desktopx first.

btw this also happens to me with ObjectBar and I am running XP

is XP in classic mode or xp mode?

not sure if that will make a difference but you might take a look and see..

Bump - Because this happens to me also once in a while. Alot of times just Desktop X, but then sometimes everything. I was thinking it was because I run so many things that I'm pushing my system to the limit. But alot of times it was only DesktopX. So there might be something with that. So. Bump, Bump, and a Bumppy Bump Bump

I don't know... I had a similair prob... for a while I couldn't shut down at all... didn't know why... I was running DX.... hmmm... but I did notice that the icon would stay in the Tray... so I would close it... then windows would finish shutting down... interesting... I don't have that problem anymore... it went away... I think it was when I updated to this version I have now... although im not sure what version I have... SDC says it's 1 ... which is confusing but... well... ... go to you component manager, or Stardock Central and make sure you have the latest version... that is my recommendation...

mmm, I wonder if it might be the iConX?
the other thing I was wondering about was the mode change when a skin is applied and having Hyperpaint active, GPU's being such as they are, mode changing and abilities are more selective in nature to the chip set used
than an actual standard, so it could have something to do with the tweaking options in each of the apps, pushing the graphics card just a bridge to far?

just some thoughts, probably making to deep a dig jumping past KISS for a soultions ...

by the way, I updated my Nivida drivers and just about any issues with display or shutdown start up have gone bu-bye...

I update mine all the time. I try to keep all my drivers and programs updated. I hate being left behind.
