Where are the moderators?

Just wondering if you are suppose to get the e-mail of death.....I mean the e-mail letting you know that you have been moderated anymore? I submitted a wall http://community.webshots.com/image5/1/97/99/64119799jGbtwJ_fs.jpg and it was pending on "my skins" page but disappeared. Didn't get an email letting me know it sucked like I have in the past, so I uploaded it again. This time it's gone again and I guess it really sucks since it didn't get posted the second time. Just wondering if you "moderators" are getting lazy.

Actually, due to a recent correction on my part of bad information, I believe the admins only email you if your walls are accepted. Because there are so many rejections everyday, it'll kill the moderators' fingers typing out a rejection email every time...

Sorry wrong link before here is the correct one http://community.webshots.com/image5/1/97/99/64119799jGbtwJ_fs.jpg

Alright the link is not working...........

Methods of moderation were changed to spare the moderators grief from "the moderated".
Now, you will receive an e-mail if your upload IS accepted. If your upload disappears from your pending list, you can assume it didn't make it.

Hmmm, I thought since the "rejection" email said the same thing everytime that it was sorta automated with the "moderator" clicking on "this is ugly" button and sending it to the person.

I kinda figured that it was moderated but wanted to know for sure. Maybe there should be a moderated wall support group at WC.

I think it was at least as good as "Trapped in Bryceworld".

There ain't NO doubt about that.........

Green_Armani: If you don't mind your wall being discussed here, then I believe that most of the moderators quite liked this wall, but the general concensus was that the "blobs" spoiled it. I think that was what led to it's eventual demise.

"What the blob!!!" What If I removed them? I always wondered if you submitted the same wall but you know....tweeked it, so that maybe it would make it. I sorta felt the blobs looked out of place for some reason afterward, they look composited onto the background.

Well - if -you- think they look out of place - why not remove them? Even if it doesn't get accepted in that form, there's the chance that you'll at least be happier with it! ^_^

You could try it again without the blobs, maybe it would be looked upon differently.

I tend to not "fix" an image. I sorta use it as a learning tool I guess. Atleast for future attempts I know not to use "blobs".
Well then don't fix it. Revise it! ^_~
O.K., that's entirely up to you. I feel the same way actually.

Now that I think of it maybe I will use this image again but maybe change the angle or coloring or something. Or, I can just bury it deep in my computer...........

Actually, the smart thing to do is to revise it, taking into consideration what you learned here tonite, rename it and resubmit it after a short wait...

by renaming I just mean tack a number onto the end of the original name....hehe

I'll think about it and maybe I will resub. Just feels second rate though.

Anyone ever make actual landscapes in Bryce? I have this one here and was wondering what the chanes of it actually making it? http://community.webshots.com/image4/3/98/85/60439885TqxJMS_fs.jpg

community.webshots.com/image4/3/98/85/60439885TqxJMS_fs.jpg (cut and paste this in address box if link doesn't work)

Nah. Refining a project to make it something you like more (you already /did/ say that the blobs looked out of place,) doesn't make it second rate. If anything, it makes it more complete (and sometimes complete means taking things out.) ^_^
