Mozilla Thunderbird 38.1.0

Weird titlebar and interior content issues

Hi

I am running the following:

Windows 8.1 with all latest updates

WindowBlinds version 8.12

I just upgraded Mozilla Thunderbird to version 38.1.0.

The titlebar is now disappearing unless I run my mouse pointer over the top right close, minimize, restore buttons or I task switch to another window and then back to Thunderbird.  If I run the mouse over top the top right window control buttons, Thunderbird's menus disappear as well as the tabs disappear.  If I task switch back and forth or restore the window, all the content in the window disappears.  I can bring it back by running my mouse pointer over top where the content should be.

The only way I can get Thunderbird to work properly is to turn off skinning for Thunderbird.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thank you,

Jeff

This happens all the time with Mozilla products Jeff, they update so frequently that no on else can keep up with them, and they follow their own rules and not industry standards in a lot of cases. For this very fact, I never upgraded above Thunderbird v28.0. It fits all my needs and doesn't have issues with Windowblinds. You will probably just have to wait for a Windowblinds update in the future. You could also try different themes with Thunderbird in the addon's area, I use Silvermel.

Folks,

For what is is worth, you might try Fossamail 25.1.9.

It looks and feels just like Thunderbird and skins properly under WindowBlinds 8.1 (035 - Windows 8 Edition) - 64 bit OS, on Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center.

Also has a 64Bit version.
