i've read about 15 photoshop tutorials and they are mind boggling..is there any that specify on shapes and giving them 3-D looks etc and how to have i mirrored affect on background etc i kinda achieved it but its just dull

adobe.com has some good information about converting 2d to 3d.

Photoshop User Magazine is another good source for everyone new and old to photoshop

There is some good information that are in the books that come with it also.

A web search will return untold numbers of results on the topic.

dogpile.com being the one I use most if not using Copernic...

As a matter of fact Photoshop User Mag isue this month has a step by step that is simple and very well done. You get the basic to mid level understanding of it and then play around to see what you can do with it...

It's on the store shelfs now..
