Pimpin' my site redesign - Dangeruss Industries

I dislike these type of posts, but I respect the opinions here, so I'm seeking some feedback. First off, the splash screen, stay or go? Some people really hate them, some folk don't care either way. It's not a fixture, so killing it is painless for me.

So... comments? bugs? Browser compatability issues? So far it's looking OK in IE, Opera, Mozilla and Safari, but I'm happy to hear from Chimera users or any other alternative browser users.

The focus of the site is my renewed interest in GUI design for software developers and technical / editorial illustration for hire. So by nature, the site is pretty commercial rather than artsy-fartsy-trendwhoreish.

1. Ditch the splash page, it looks cheap. Reminds me of those companies that scan in their folder and put it on their site

2. Argh, it's blue!

3. Frontpage? /me crosses fingers at Russ

4. Header graphic is a wee bit blurry (due to our good friend Mr JPEG's compression). As for the laptop shown at an angle contrasting witht he skins, mwah, I don't know.

5. I'm actually seeing more blurry jpg's. Perhaps you should use png or gif for thos small inteerface bits and pieces. Would be much sharper.

6. Orange intro bit looks good. One minor note: "Dangeruss Industries.com
is [...] run by Russ "Dangeruss" Schwenkler. We specialize in [...]". Shouldn't that be "I" or were you spekaing in majestic plurality?

7. News column looks good at first sight. On second glace though, the headers and "read more" bits could use some more attention. Perhaps use white or a contrasting colour. And you could use a button like image for "read more".

8. Aligment of the affiliates is a bit off, bottom row jumping to the left a few pixels (Mozilla 1.2a)

9. Middle and right column look good (aside from previous points).

10. Page navigation in the protfolio should be mirrored at the bottom too. Nothing more annoying than having to scroll up to go to the next page in a series.

11. "Please read the following agreement" is in glaring red, it should be orange (Resource Art), same goes for the agree/disagree buttons.

12. If there is no featured art (Resource Art) then don't show that column.

And I could keep going on. Anyhow, overall look and feel is good. /me just happens to be hyper critical
