Custom portraits spawning

Has anyone else encountered this? I put a custom portrait or Leader pic in the proper file, and then check it. It works fine. I'm able to create a custom race using it. Then, I decide it doesn't quite fit the "feel" I had in mind, so I delete it from the files on my computer. I can see it's gone. Then when I restart the game, they are still there. Furthermore, the pic has returned to the file on my computer? Any idea how it's coming back? Any suggestions?

This is also happening to me, but in my case, it is related to the faction logos. Please devs, take a look at these annoying ghost files.

yeah unless you delete the customrace file that was using it the game put it back from  it`s cache.
