Combat viewer 'Top Down' view

Please allow control of the zoom level in the top down view.

 

While overall my favorite view,  it starts out ok (a bit too far zoomed out, but good for begining) but rapidly zooms way to close in and often NO ships are actually visible as the dance around each other and I see the occasional beam/missile flash across the screen.

 

If the top down had a controllable zoom level,  (whether one of a few pre-set,  say close, medium, far; or just near completely controllable like several of the other veiw) Top down would be perfect (IMO).


As is,  I generally watch the first few seconds,  then get bored since I cant see anything and fast forward to the end.

I agree, we need some more views. The free cam will not let me see any ships if I select it at start of battle.

Totally agree! Not having zoom capability with the top down view really limits its use.

Agreed. I use Free Cam to get a usable view every time.

I agree, It would be a great feature, has anyone noticed that free cam tends to do its own thing sometimes i.e. moving light years away from a battle?
