Why can't I buy my own stock??

I'm playing a campaign and the enemies are all buying my stock. I cannot buy their stock, and I cannot buy mine to raise it's price.

My debt is zero and I have a stockpile of money but am about to lose since I cannot buy their stock or my own!

What turn are you on? Until the last turn (probably 7) no one can buy stock in anyone else.

not sure, i already lost the game. Reading through forums it seems the campaign has different win conditions that I wasn't aware of (I just bought the game today) but it was strange seeing the AI buying my shares and not being able to raise the price.

I'm experiencing the same issue.  During campaign mode, I cannot buy stock in my own company or any other company.  Even though I have enough money, the + icon doesn't increase ownership in my company.  Any ideas guys?  <Windows 7>

Note:  This previously worked, and stopped working on a recent update.

In the campaign, you buy/grow the colony using the housing/leisure/lab/?? buttons, not stock in the competititors or yourself. The + to buy stock should be removed in the campaign since it doesn't do anything until the last mission.

The winning condition after the 6-8 days is whoever has bought the most stuff for the colony, which is shown by the "stock shares" next to your name in the top right.

I've experience the same issues in campaign mode.

Having poked around the forum a bit, it appears to be just a matter of lacking information.  It would be nice if the various campaign features had a tutorial...
