my mention of Windows Theme with a circle and slash was ment to depict Mincrosofts SOFT attempt at a GUI when they evdently had all the paths to making it extreamly better than they did. But then again kudo's to SD and others for picking up where they left off and running with it!

I have actually listened to and read a few comments in other places on other sites where people were at a loss for the reason someone would take critisim harsly and personal. If expressing ones self is not personal, if doing so and then putting it out in the opn for everyone in the world to see is not personal, I do not have a clue what is...

Put those artistic skills to a use. As long as it's suitable. Nothing X rated or negative. But it can be cool, cute, etc.

Emoticons aren't that hard to make either. And maybe a small list for those that don't want to make theirs. But that's a idea.

Yes, Unix, and even Linux is fairly stable - but no, it'll still crash on you - especially linux. For desktop reliability, I'd rather sit in front of my XP (or better yet, 2K) box than my linux one any day.

yup, the only box I haven't ever had crash was a Novell Server...

AIX, UNIX, LINUX, you name it...

Desktop? They all crash, but XP and 2k sit on the top of that pile.

2k is faster and more stable that XP, but, lacks some of the fun in some areas. Play XP, outright in the trenches work, burning midnight-oil got to get it done and no time to play around without worry of any issue 2k.

NT 3.5 - 4 eck...

I mean heck if you want to talk stable and multitasking and ugly you don't have to turn to UNIX or Linux, just run Dos 3.3 with DeskviewX 386

My comment about MS was the fact that they seem to let others worry about finishing their product for them, with app's such as OD. They had a nasty habit of stealing those things that caught on with end users and showed even the slimist profit.

Really good that they are willing and do work with SD on this too.

My nightmare:

running X apps. *nix may be, as a whole, more stable than Windows - but my X apps all crash /way/ more often than my individual Windows apps!
