Windows Explorer window won't change in Win 7

When i install a Windowblinds skin such as Dark Tone https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds/8188/ , I can never get the folder backgrounds to change. Take a look at where the green arrows are pointing in my screenshot. The background of the folder should be like the top image with the green arrow, but it is white instead of dark grey as shown in the bottom image with the green arrow.

 

And yes, my OS is Win 7

In Windowblinds, click on the Background button, then click on Explorer Backgrounds and make sure "None" is selected.

If what Lightstar said doesn't work.

Most of the time when changing a Windowblind you have to close and re-open the Explorer window to see the changes.

That's true also Dave, thanks. There are more bugs and inconsistencies in WB and SKS than you can count on twelve hands!  :S

You might want to download the WB again, switch to a different one, delete the existing one having the issue and then install and apply the  newly downloaded WB again.
