Let's do a list of all programs which are not compatible with windowsblind

Let's do a list of all programs which are not compatible with windowsblind

So Frest install of windows 7 ultimate. so no programs interferred or something like that.

Apparently we have problems with:

- firefox 35.0.1

- oracle virtualbox

- internet explorer 11

- wordpad

- settings windows of kaspersky total security

I can provide screenshots but as I'm yelling for one year now at you (technical support fo stardock) to do your job, I will provide it only if your dev team can promis an update for all these problems in once (for god sake, please contact mozilla and ask them to work with you or something!).

Any other people have problems ?

P.S.: I forgot to tell I have tried the different pre-installed theme of stardock + agartha blue

P.S.2: but the fix by customizing in firefox the title bar is working but we shouldn't do that so ....

Quoting TheDude20165,

You can add ZABKAT Windows xplorer2 to the list of programs not working with the  release WindowBlinds 8.09 - 64 bit OS.

explorer2 fails to load with this release of WB.

I would give up WB before I gave up ZABKAT explorer2

Are you using the 8.09 from before Christmas as that had some issues with some apps not starting?  We released an updated version in January which should have resolved that.

Having just checked here I see no problem with it loading so I suspect you have the older WB build.  The date in the about box should be 19th December 2014 for wblind.dll with the newer version.

I am using the 8.09 that Object Desktop Manager installs.  Also excluding it in WB does not fix the 8.09 issue.

so with the beta of 8.09 oracle virtualbox is not repaired, so I don't know if I have to reinstalled it or something but stille I have the problem of transparency.

Is it possible that some applications have some problems with specifics themes and some not? With the theme: http://www.adni18.com/premium_6.html I can see that the apps of google don't have problem to skin the title bar or maybe it s the update 8.09 which has resolved the problem.

Should I show a proof about the transparency of the title bar of oracle and the update to the beta of windowsblinds? ( I have reboot it and reapply the theme already)

Would it be possible to specify to windows blinds to use the native system of windows for specific applciation like firefox one day? Orthe real problem is that the first apply of the theme on firefox broke everything inside it? Anyway in the beta version of windowsblinds the behaviour of firefox is worse than in 8.06

The 8.09 beta predates the changes which is why it did not help.

You can exclude applications from WindowBlinds, though applications like firefox which paint over their own titlebars generally do not handle this well as they do not realise the theme is the only true native theme which is Windows Classic.

Planning an article about it.

What does your about WindowBlinds dialog say exactly?  We have had reports before of installs not always replacing all the files they should especially when installed via Object Desktop Manager.

Yes that's the older beta of 8.09.

Uninstall, reboot (very important), and reinstall and you should be fine.

OK I will try, but it seems there is still a problem if Desktop Manager is downloading the older version.

You might also log out of Object Desktop Manager & log back in to it after you've uninstalled WB & rebooted (before re-installing WB).  Just to be sure ODM refreshes correctly.

Why don't you just download it from the store as I know it has the latest updated version. store.stardock.com

to come back with this thread... seems that problems come from specific themes and not all of them. So maybe specific settings in the themes like transparency?

anyway i have problem with oracle virtualbox with the theme Echo for example (in build theme from windowsblind and not with bauhaus from adni18 ... so if one of the tech can maybe see what's wrong or what's the difference between them two  about title bar, would be great.
