Open Themeing Standard...it is for LiteSTEP and if you are that new to it all not to understand 'OTS' etc, I strongly suggest you keep away from Shell replacements such as LiteSTEP...it will trip the unwary.

Also, try to be a little less 'angry'....it is not warranted, nor is it acceptable conduct...

The Open Theme Standard for LiteStep is an attempt to simplify the process of distributing and installing themes for LiteStep.

There is simply no reason we should have to struggle to install LiteStep themes. There is no need to download a theme, pore over installation instructions, delete or install modules, edit popup and hotkey files, etc., and then repeat the entire process when we wish to use a new theme. To me, this is completely unacceptable - it's simply a waste of time and energy, commodities none of us have in excess.

In the past LiteStep themes were simpler, and there was only so much that could be done to make theme installation efficient. This is no longer the case: themes are becoming increasingly sophisticated as LiteStep evolves, and thanks to the dev team, module authors, and programs like LSTS, there are many things that can be done to simplify theme installation. The coders have done their part by providing us with all necessary tools - it is up to us as a community to take the next step and establish a theme standard for our own benefit.

The Open Theme Standard for LiteStep is the result of a completely democratic and collaborative effort between experienced LiteStep theme authors and users. The overriding considerations in drafting the OTS specification were easy theme installation, ease of use, and ease in theme creation, i.e.:

1. To establish a standard theme structure for LiteStep themes
2. To standardize and completely simplify the process of installing themes
3. To apply user defined personal settings (paths, hotkeys, popup, etc.) across all themes
4. To do all the above without impinging on theme authors' flexibility in creating themes, and without making theme creation cumbersome
5. To be fully compatible with LiteStep Theme Selector, but not dependent on it

The people who came together to do this for the benefit of the entire LiteStep community are:
