If you are using an OS thats not XP, you need ObjectBar also. If your using XP you need to use the blinds that have XP support or else you need ObjectBar again.

WindowBlinds can only skin your taskbar and start menu if your running Windows XP. If you're using an older version of Windows, you might want to try using ObjectBar https://www.stardock.com/products/objectbar/ along with WindowBlinds. It has the ability to import the XP taskbar and start menu from any WindowBlinds skin that contains them, and apply them to older versions of Windows.

You must really be going back in the archive. Almost all the last 500+ skins have XP support.

Read that wrong. Guess you have a problem somewhere. You have the registered version or the shareware version of window blinds?

There's a configuration setting that tells WB to skin the XP start menu and taskbar. I don't what it is however.

Maybe if you looked at the Settings section of the WindowBlinds configuration window? (Press the WindowBlinds button in the Appearances tab of your Windows Display Properties).
