Multi-line taskbar not supported by WindowBlinds?

Hi all,
I'm new to all this Win XP skinning stuff, although it seems really cool. I'm currently using the latest WindowBlinds trial but seem to be having some problems. The main issue I've noticed so far is that it will not remember that I like to have my taskbar set to 2 lines, not 1. I unlock the taskbar > resize to 2 lines > lock taskbar. All works fine until I reboot or logout and back in again. When I return, it's back to a single line.

Is there something I can do to stop this from happening? I'd like to find out all I can before my trial runs out so I know if I want to spend money on making my OS 'pretty'.

Thanks in advance.

PS. Sys specs:
Win XP Pro SP1
AMD Athlon 1700+
256Mb DDR RAM

Nope, sorry. This is an XP problem.

How is it an XP problem? Multi-line taskbar works fine without WindowBlinds installed. Obviously not XP's problem.

Is it something that definately doesn't work with WindowBlinds? or is it one of the few restrictions put on the demo version? Anyone else able to confirm this for me please?

I've seen this exact same problem mentioned a couple of times before. It appears to be an issue with WindowBlinds and WinXP. I don't know if it's fixable or not. You may want to try the Stardock WindowBlinds forum. Somebody there would know.

this a common problem caused by the fact that everytime window blinds is restarted it has to reset windows to classic mode before it can start, therefore restarting your taskbar settings... or something like that... that was the answer given last time this question was asked... im sure in the next major update they will have this fixed though... because stardock good at fixing their issues...

The problem is a Microsoft bug which was even present in the beta of XP. You can check this by installing XP (without installing WB) and setting the theme to Luna. Then resize the taskbar to double height. Now change to classic and the bar will drop to single height again. There are workarounds which involve putting another toolbar on the bottom level. So if you stick the quicklaunch bar at the bottom it should stay at double height. I personally use an address bar underneath and have not had it resize since. No-one (so far) has managed to programatically resize the taskbar (and a fair few people more knowledgable than myself) have tried. I don't think it's fixable by Stardock. I know for a fact that they have looked into it and so far have not come up with a resolution.

I'm having a similar problem, only for me it always sets the taskbar to triple high.

If you stack two (or more) toolbars on top of one another on the taskbar (say another under the quicklaunch bar) then it won't resize it.

I have the quicklaunch bar underneath, and it is resizing it.
