Have you tried the OTS installer? It pretty much holds your hand during the install, so it shouldn't be a problem. LiteStep takes some time to understand as it is not as simple as DesktopX, but once you understand what you are doing, the posibilities for customization are incredible. My advice is to read as much as possible.

I am currently in the middle of learning LiteStep also and it does take some time. What is the OTS Installer?

OTS = Open Theme Standard. It is an attempt to make the process of installing LiteStep and themes easier.

litesteps possibibilties are endless, it isnt what u can always download, its what can u make the personally fits all ur needs. Once you install it find some things and mess around with them if u know any other programming languege it shouldn't take much time to learn
