Hi help please about combat and other

from GalCiv3 Forums

I am curious I got attacked and all it said was accept combat. But I did not see a battle or get to control any units. Is this how the game plays? ....... or can I actually manually battle or at least watch a battle?

 

Also I tried to attack and I don't know how to attack. I assume it would be the same as moving but it did not work. I went to commands and still could not find a way to attack so I had to pass the turn and wait for them to attack me.

 

Is there a tutorial?

Is there a manual?

 

So far the game is coming along nice  liking it. Movement commands are a little glitchy though for me at least. Don't seem to work sometimes and then work later.

Combat isn't in yet. It works but you just don't see any battles.

Also make sure you have weapons on your ships to start combat and have at least one movement point. ;)

thanks but I did have weapons I made a ship  with a module that were guns and yet I could not attack with them

 

weird thing was I looked at the cost of my new ship compared to a scout and it cost like so much less making me think that I may have not added any weapons but those modules totally looked like weapons.

Did you build the ship yourself or build one from the list the game offers you?

 

When building it, be sure to add things like life support. 

 

Many times I tried to attack a ship only to see its out of my damn range and had to retreat, upgrade to a new version with better life support and than go attacking (only to get defeated, lol)...

It is still way too early for a tutorial or a manual. With GC1 and 2 these were made available near the end of the Beta test period.

Once the tutorial or manual are made, the features are pretty well locked into place. Right now things are too fluid to get a useful manual and I think the devs are still developing and changing some of the finer points of the game.
