Feature Request -- Backup & Restore of Fences (which helps overcome Bug Issues)

I love Fences but I upgrade often and need to have simple way to move my layout.  It'd be nice if Fences operated like ActualTools Window Desktop Manager.  It has a SysTray icon that gives many pages of Configuration.  Then in Configurate, it has BACKUP, RESTORE, UPGRADE, etc.  Also, START / STOP / PAUSE.  None of this is in Fences, or if it is, it doesn't work right.

I really don't like that Fences resides within Control Panel, and it should have a SysTray icon.

Whoever hasn't tried ActualTools full line of Window Management is like using Windows in the Stone Ages.  Best product that I bought.

I want Fences to elevate to that.  I can only hope that StarDock really puts more time into ironing out the bugs in Fences.  My copy

of v2.11 is very buggy, or, at least, on my systems.

Have you tried Fences 2.13 to see if your bugs go away? It is the most current version.

You can get it from here: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

Please see this for backing up snapshots.

Also, I don't understand why it can't stay up-to-date.  These are features that were once missing in ActualTools (which is WORLD-CLASS program), and I gave them suggestions then they added it.  And, now, updates come along with betas so much faster.

Thank you, Gargabee, I'll do what you say and see if that fixes it.  I don't understand, it might be ActualsTools with multiple desktops that could be causing conflicts.  But nothing else is wrong on my AWESOME SYSTEM (upgraded to more ram recently and SSD drives:  WOW!!! -- I am in heaven now!!!).

Both have made a huge difference ...

That they will...;)

Also, however, programs which alter the OS GUI [you mentioned 'multiple desktops'] will not always play well together...unless specifically designed to do so.  They tend to be designed to do their own thing...with the OS itself, and manage 'normal' programs...;)

...but you're in good hands with Gargabee...;)

I just want Fences (along with ObjectDock) to work without any issues, because it is one of the tools that I suggest to my students at University of Houston to invest in.

And, my issues are very reproducible (especially coming out of Hibernate & Fences quits working right), so other people should have them, unless it is ActualTools doing it or Windows Hibernate feature.

Thanks for all the feedback.

Thank you Stardocks for fixing that.  (@Gargabee) I also thank you for the suggestion to get latest version.

I only had v2.11 but looks like my Hibernate issue was fixed in v2.13.  I will notice it alot because I

use Fences daily, and I depend on it as a CORE TECHNOLOGY to make my tasks go quicker.

@Jafo -- I don't think ActualTools was interferring now, like I did before, because they fixed it.

Thanks all for listening,
